Careers

Work on real digital work that ships every month.

HAPPISOFT is a small Ottawa team that runs the digital presence of NGOs, SMEs and growing organizations across Canada. We work remotely, we use AI to move faster, and a person owns every result.

How the team works

Remote-friendly. AI-accelerated. Human-led.

The way we work with each other is the way we work for clients: a clear monthly rhythm, real ownership of the result, and tools that take the repetitive part out of the day.

Remote-friendly by default

The team works remotely across Canada, with a shared monthly rhythm instead of a shared office. Clear priorities, written handovers, and no need to be online at the same hour of the day.

AI does the repetitive part

We've built real mastery of AI into how the work gets done, so your day is spent on judgement, craft and the client relationship — not on the fifteenth version of the same asset.

A person owns every result

Nothing goes to a client unreviewed. You'll own deliverables end to end and answer for them — which is also why you get a real say in how they're made.

What we look for

Craft, ownership and plain communication.

We hire for how someone works more than for a list of tools. These four things matter on every project, whatever the role.

You finish things

Work that ships beats work that is nearly there. We care about the last 10 per cent.

You explain your thinking

Clients are non-technical. Being able to say why, in plain words, is part of the job.

You use AI well

Not as a novelty — as a tool you know the limits of, and still check the output of.

You work well alone

Remote means organising your own week and flagging problems early, without being chased.

What it's like

A small team, a clear month, real ownership.

No agency theatre, no timesheet games. Here is what the work actually looks like week to week.

  • One team, no layers of management — you talk directly to the person who needs the work.
  • A monthly rhythm: priorities set together at the start, work reported at the end.
  • Real range — websites, applications, design, video and social, not one narrow lane.
  • Clients who stay for years, so you see what your work does over time.
  • AI tooling provided and encouraged, with clear rules about what still gets human review.
  • Written-first communication, so nobody's day is eaten by meetings.
  • Based in Ottawa, working with organizations across Canada, in English and French.
